Recovering from Neo-Advaita,
aka
FAKE
Nonduality
What differentiates Neo-Nonduality from Actual Nonduality
Neo-Advaita Teachers base their teachings on one of two
(and sometimes both) First and foremost is the teachings:
1) There is nothing to do since you are already enlightened
2) Just practice Self-Inquiry (a specific form of mediation) and that is all you need
There are some other ideas which Neo-Advaita teaches:
~The world is an illusion/does not exist
~You are an illusion/do not exist
~All you need to do is practice Self-Inquiry or just see that you are already Enlighted- NOTHING else
Life has no purpose
Your behavior doesn't matter
Reincarnation and Karma do not exist
You do not need a Guru
There is no need for Devotion (Bhakti) since you are God
There is no God
There is no need for a healthy/balanced life of service (Karma Yoga)- since your behavior/life/choices don't matter.
Actual Advaita Vedanta on the other hand teaches
the
EXACT opposite of each of the above.
ONE HUNDRED percent opposite.
Hence it is not possible to follow:
Advaita Vedanta
Adi Shankara
Ramana Maharshi
The Bhagavat Gita
The Upanishads
AND
Neo-Advaita teachings.
They are mutually exclusive.
This website and organization is dedicated to helping people find out for themselves:
that Neo-Advaita "teachings" are directly in opposition to the wisdom of the ages as taught by the sages of Advaita Vedanta.
And how to recover from the,
------
A warm welcome
and
An Invitation to be gentle
The whole phenomena of Neo-Advaita is
complex,
with many
nuances and subtleties,
yet it's impact can be
PROFOUND.
Neo-Advaita "teachers" often engages in "teaching" tactics that are:
manipulative,
cult-like
and can border on brain-washing.
Disillusionment,
loss of faith,
hopelessness,
feeling alone,
feeling completely lost
and broken beyond repair
are a few common “symptoms”
of being deeply impacted by Neo-Advaita.
-
Neo-Advaita impacts different people differently.
For some it is something that once they see the lunacy of it,
they are able to leave it behind and get on with their lives.
For some it is a process of letting go that can take
time and effort.
And, for some,
it can be an intense process
that can take a lot of time and effort.
Wherever on that spectrum you find yourself:
Welcome to the journey back to your FULL self.
Welcome to the home of your tender heart.
AND
Welcome to a community of tender hearts.
